وَمَا الْمَالُ وَالأَهْلُونَ إِلاَّ وَدَائِعُ
Wealth and family are but deposits entrusted to us
And one day all deposits must be returned
أَلاَ كُلُّ شَيْءٍ مَا خَلاَ اللَّهَ بَاطِلُ
Indeed, everything except God is vain
And every bliss must inevitably pass away
بَلِينَا وَمَا تَبْلَى النُّجُومُ الطَّوَالِعُ
We decay while the rising stars do not decay
And the mountains and fortresses remain after us
عَفَتِ الدِّيَارُ مَحَلُّهَا فَمُقَامُهَا
