أعظم شعراء الغزل في الأندلس، اشتهر بحبه للأميرة الشاعرة ولادة. نونيّته في الشوق من أجمل القصائد العربية. خدم لاحقًا بني عباد في إشبيلية.
The greatest love poet of al-Andalus, famous for his passion for the princess-poet Wallada. His Nuniyya poem of longing is among the most beautiful in Arabic. He later served the Abbadid kings in Seville.
