وَمَنْ يَجْعَلِ الْمَعْرُوفَ مِنْ دُونِ عِرْضِهِ
يَفِرْهُ وَمَنْ لاَ يَتَّقِ الشَّتْمَ يُشْتَمِ
He who places kindness as a shield for his honor preserves it
And he who does not guard against insult will be insulted
