أَبْلَى الهَوَى أَسَفًا يَوْمَ النَّوَى بَدَنِي
وَفَرَّقَ الهَجْرُ بَيْنَ الجَفْنِ وَالوَسَنِ
Love wore out my body with grief on the day of departure
And separation parted my eyelid from slumber
