شَرِبْنَا عَلَى ذِكْرِ الحَبِيبِ مُدَامَةً
سَكِرْنَا بِهَا مِنْ قَبْلِ أَنْ يُخْلَقَ الكَرْمُ
We drank to the remembrance of the Beloved a wine
With which we were drunk before the vine was created
