من شعراء المعلقات السبع، توفي شابًا في السادسة والعشرين. عُرف بوصفه الحي لملذات الشباب ووصفه الدقيق للناقة. أدت جرأته في الهجاء إلى إعدامه على يد الملك عمرو بن هند.
One of the seven Mu'allaqa poets who died young at around 26. Known for his vivid descriptions of youthful pleasures and his famous detailed portrait of a camel. His boldness in satire led to his execution by King Amr ibn Hind.
