صوفي عراقي وصاحب «المواقف» و«المخاطبات»، نصوص شعرية نثرية تسجل لحظات الخطاب الإلهي. أثّر أسلوبه التأملي المختزل «كلما اتسعت الرؤية ضاقت العبارة» تأثيرًا عميقًا في الأدب الصوفي اللاحق.
Iraqi Sufi master, author of the Mawaqif (Stations) and Mukhatabat (Addresses) — visionary prose-poems recording moments of divine address. His paradoxical, aphoristic style ('the wider the vision, the narrower the expression') had a deep influence on later Sufi literature.
